About Me

Education & Experience: I received a masters of education in psychological counseling from Teachers College, Columbia University in New York, NY in 2013. I practiced with a limited permit under supervision for four years and earned my licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York State in 2020. During my training and permitted practice, I worked at community health clinics in NYC serving individuals, families, and groups, and specialized in work with children who have/had a parent incarcerated and LGBTQIA+ clients. During the COVID-19 pandemic I moved to the upper peninsula of Michigan, and in fall of 2022 I was licensed in Michigan State as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

I have experience working with children, adolescents, families, and adults. I have specialized training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Career Counseling, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and mindfulness, Internal Family Systems therapy (IFS), intersectionality, feminist therapy, multiculturally competent counseling, person/client-centered therapy, psychodynamic therapy, working with C-PTSD, working with LGBTQIA+ youth and adults, and more generally queer and trans competent care.
